A Worldwide Church Family
The Seventh-day Adventist Church is a mainstream Protestant church with approximately 19 million members worldwide, including more than one million members in North America. The Adventist Church operates 173 hospitals and sanitariums and more than 7,500 schools around the world. The Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) works within communities in more than 130 countries to provide community development and disaster relief.
Four Of Our Basic Beliefs:
1) God is the Creator of all things, animate and inanimate, and Father of all mankind!
2) Jesus Christ is the Son of God who came to earth in the flesh – in the form of mankind –
a. to teach us the ways of God,
b. to destroy the works of Satan,
c. to give His life on the Cross of Calvary to bring us salvation.
d. that He resurrected from the dead and now resides back in heaven and intercedes with God there on our behalf.
e. He is soon to return to the earth to reclaim those who have chosen Him as Lord and Savior.
3) That the Holy Spirit is God’s presence with us now, and acts as our Helper and Guide to enable us to live a life of righteousness.
4) That the Seventh day of the week, Saturday, is the true Sabbath Day of God according to the Creation narrative in Scripture.
